Treasure Coast Large Condominium

Background

A luxury condominium needed to update its telecom infrastructure to deliver the latest video, internet and phone services, or risk becoming less attractive to potential new buyers. They had been receiving video service from a provider whose infrastructure was not up to today’s technology standards and couldn’t deliver the latest product offerings to what their neighbors were receiving.

By drafting and distributing a Request for Proposal, Converged Services brought in competitive bids and found a provider to upgrade the condo’s telecom system and broadband offerings, including over-the-top content programming and remote video opportunities, at no cost to the Association.

Retirement Community in South Florida

Background

One of South Florida’s largest retirement communities, with multiple, premier condominium villages located in various cities, wanted to secure the most favorable terms on their next contract for bulk internet, video, phone and security services.

Converged Services Solution

Converged Services partnered with the Homeowners Association’s president on every aspect of the new contract covering bulk internet, video, phone, and security with exclusive right-of-entry agreements for more than 10,000 homes. The Converged Services team handled the negotiations on all the contact terms, including options for rate reductions, cash payments, revenue sharing, and upgrading all existing infrastructure. This community has been working with Converged Services since 2000.

Homeowners Association in Fort Lauderdale

Background

Three Homeowners Associations, representing 300 to 3,000 residents, all had the same goal: Upgrade broadband services for residents while saving on monthly unit costs and securing the highest possible return on investment.

Converged Services Solution

After reviewing the existing agreement, Converged Services renegotiated a more favorable bulk contract, which resulted in a savings to each resident of $6 per month, based on a five-year extension. In addition, the wiring infrastructure was upgraded, ensuring service reliability and system flexibility for future upgrades, and they added a high-definition box and more HD channels to each home serviced. After factoring in the 25 percent door fee to Converged Services based on the total savings, the Association’s ROI on the package was 844 percent.

Florida Management Company

Background

A Florida management company needed to find a more efficient way to manage a growing portfolio of telecom agreements for their clients. The problem was two-fold. First, they lacked an understanding of the technology infrastructure needed to deliver the services that their residents expect, and second, they failed to control the auto-renew clauses of current telecom agreements.
