Pathway to a Strategic Partnership

Background

Seeking the opportunity to review their current coaxial infrastructure and upgrade options, the Bonita Bay Community Association quickly learned not only did they require an internal technology committee, but they also needed an external expert to ensure the negotiating process was competent and applicable. That’s when Converged Services stepped in to provide all residents of Bonita Bay the most advanced entertainment and communications package, with the most innovative technology.

  • Upgraded fiber to the home
  • Reduced cost and added value to the bulk package
  • Reliability of service

“What a refreshing feeling to know you can turn a problem into a solution effectively and efficiently. The Technology Committee was in pursuit of a partner, not a vendor. We found that with Converged Services.” – Chris Corrie, President, Bonita Bay Community Association

The Challenges

Bonita Bay Community Association realized the need to upgrade their current coaxial infrastructure, but did not know the local competitive landscape or the key, executive provider management to expedite the process to ensure all key items were included through the complex negotiations. Residents were concerned about the reliability of the services they were receiving. Majority of residents were paying retail price for products and services such as video service, HD programming, DVR functionality, as well as Internet and modem equipment. The Technology Committee understood the importance of updated infrastructure, better service at a better value, and choosing a provider with a strong customer service reputation. Moreover, The Technology Committee understood that in order to recommend a new bulk agreement inclusive of these factors to the master board and residents, they needed to move quickly and effectively.

Converged Services Solution

By partnering with Converged Services, the Technology Committee was confident that the process would be streamlined and efficient. Not only was the entire process completed in less than twelve months, but the Technology Committee was impressed with how Converged Services brought the senior executive management and owners of the competitive providers to the table to enable high-level and aggressive negotiations that will benefit the community well into the future.

Bonita Bay Community Association receive a high-speed fiber optic network connected to each home with no upfront costs, service level agreements to guarantee performance, a voice recognition remote control and industry-leading video platform, white glove service for homeowners and up front funds for legal services, construction management services and future technology needs. Looking ahead, Bonita Bay Community Association is confident that its partnership with Converged Services will be able to deal with changes in technology and consumer demand over the term of the agreement.
